Why Money Matters Youth Academy?
Welcome to our Financial Academy for children! We are excited to embark on this journey of
learning together and help you build lifelong money skills that will empower you throughout your life. In this chapter, we will explore the importance of financial management, define it, and explain why it is crucial in everyday life. We will also focus on the significance of developing
these skills at a young age.
My Story
As a professional Black woman, I have always been passionate about creating positive change and empowering my community. Recognizing the enormous wealth gap and financial disparities that disproportionately affect Black youth, I felt compelled to take action and address this issue head-on. That's why I launched Money Matters Your Academy, a financial literacy program specifically tailored to the needs and experiences of Black youth.
Through this program, I aim to provide them with the knowledge, resources, and skills they need to achieve economic independence and success. By equipping them with a solid foundation in financial literacy, we can break the cycle of generational poverty and ensure a brighter future for our community. Money truly matters, and with this program, I am determined to leave a lasting impact on the lives of Black youth, empowering them to make informed financial decisions and thrive in a system that has historically marginalized them.
